It seems as though there isn't any shortage of recalls in the news recently. From food and toys to vehicles, consumers have to be vigilant about everything they are using just because of the risk of a recall. There are several vehicle recalls that came out recently that drivers should be aware of.

Volkswagen Golf and Golf SportWagen models from 2015 to 2018 have been recalled due to the possibility of being able to remove the key from the ignition even if the vehicle isn't in park. The official notification won't start until Sept. 8.

Ford Escape and Fusion models from 2013 to 2016 have been recalled due to a potential shifter cable detachment. This can lead to the transmission being set in a gear that you don't expect. This means that the 504,000 vehicles in the recall could roll off when they should be in park. There hasn't been any mention of owner notification from Ford.

Audi S8 and A8 models from 2013 to 2015 have been recalled due to a possible leak in the fuel system. The fuel pump supply line might become porous with regular use. This is a serious fire hazard for the vehicle since fuel is flammable.

Mercedes Benz and Mercedes-AMG C-Class models from 2017 and 2018 are the subject of a recall due to a bonding issue with the trim. The issue doesn't really pose a risk to the driver and occupants of the vehicle; however, if the trim becomes detached, it can become a dangerous projectile.

The BMW X3 and X4 models from 2018 and 2018 are being recalled due to an issue with the braking system. The rear brake caliper pistons might not have a sufficient coating. This can lead to reduced brake performance.

When people are injured due to a motor vehicle defect, they might opt to seek compensation. Finding out about this process might help you determine how to get started if you are injured by any defective product, including a motor vehicle.
